Process

How it works.

Working with diceSYTE is simple on purpose. You talk to me, not a sales team or a project manager, and you get a clear plan before any work starts. A typical site moves from first conversation to launch in a few weeks, not a few months, because modern AI tooling lets one experienced developer do what used to take an agency and a month of meetings.

Here is exactly how a project goes, so there are no surprises.

  1. We talk.

You tell me about your firm, your clients and what the site has to do. The first conversation is free, and I'll tell you straight whether I'm the right fit, even when the honest answer is that you don't need me yet.

  2. You get a clear plan.

Before anything is built, you get a plain proposal: what the site includes, which plan it sits on and when it launches. One number, by the year or by the month. No creeping invoices. If the work doesn't fit a plan, it's a Studio build, and you get three written options in different sizes instead, each at a fixed price.

  3. I design and build.

You see it come together and give feedback at the points that matter, not in a standing meeting. The tooling is fast, so you get agency-quality work without the agency timeline, built the way a developer of thirty years builds: clean, fast and made to last.

  4. We launch.

Before it goes live, the site is tested on real phones, checked for speed and hardened for security. I run IT and security for a living, so "is it safe" isn't an afterthought.

  5. I keep it working.

Hosting, backups, monitoring, updates and a set amount of changes every month. You don't buy upkeep on the side. It's what the plan is. A Studio build gets the same care on a plan of its own, from $99 a month.

  6. Then we build the next one.

Sites age. Every three years, or every two on Site + System, your plan includes a full redesign, paid for by the same number you've been paying all along. A Studio build is paid for once, so its next version is quoted when you're ready. Either way, the die rolls again.

The plan, drawn

One number, and the next site is already paid for.

The build happens in month one. Every month after that, the same payment keeps the site running and puts money toward its replacement, so the number never drops and the site never goes stale.

  • Month 1. The site is built and launched.
  • Every month after. Hosting, backups, updates and your changes.
  • Month 36. A full redesign, included. Then it starts over.

What I need from you

Less than you would think. The first conversation, photos of your team, your office or your work, whatever shows you at your best, and a few rounds of feedback at the right moments. I handle the design, the writing, the build, the launch, and the upkeep. You run your business.

Questions, answered straight.

How long does a project take?
Most sites go from first conversation to launch in a few weeks, depending on the number of pages and whether the content and photos are ready. A larger or more involved site takes longer, and you will know the timeline before you start.
What do you need from me to begin?
A conversation and a sense of what you want the site to do. If you have photos of your work, your logo, or existing copy, great. If you do not, that is part of what I help with.
Do I have to know exactly what I want already?
No. Most people do not, and that is fine. The first conversation is partly about figuring out what will actually move the needle for your business, so you are not paying for features you do not need.
What happens after the site launches?
It keeps getting looked after. Your plan covers the hosting, updates, backups and monitoring, a set amount of changes every month, and a full redesign every few years. If you’d rather run it yourself one day, the site, the source and the instructions are yours to take.
Do you only work with local businesses?
No. Location doesn’t decide fit; the project does. Local clients sometimes get me in person, everyone gets the same process, the same build quality, and the same direct line to me.
What happens if you are unavailable?
You are covered. You own your site outright: the code, the content and the domain are yours, and the site is hosted on my account by default and moves to yours whenever you want. I build on standard, well-documented tech, so any competent developer could pick it up tomorrow. I document as I go, because I have spent a career in IT cleaning up after people who did not. One person builds it; nothing about running it depends on one person.
